When I was a kid, my mom called me the “barometer of the family” because I could sense when something was off with someone. That sensitivity grew into a lifelong passion for helping others.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling in 2011. But even as a trained counselor working in the field for a decade, I didn’t realize I was neurodivergent until my mid-30s. I figured it out when work, parenting, and burnout hit me like a ton of bricks.
Discovering that I’m AuDHD was life-changing. It explained so much. Suddenly, things about myself that never quite made sense started to click. But along with that clarity came sadness and grief; for the years I didn’t fully understand myself and for the parts of me I tried so hard to change. Finding out as an adult that you’re neurodivergent is a ride and not an easy one. I get it because I’ve been on that ride too. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
My experiences have shaped the way I show up in therapy, with empathy, humor, and deep respect for your unique brain and story. Clients who have worked with neurotypical therapists in the past often tell me they appreciate working with someone who just gets it. They don’t have to overexplain their experiences because I can already relate. Many of my clients are highly self-aware and have felt “stuck” in therapy before, unsure how to move forward when insight alone isn’t enough. If that sounds familiar, I understand because I’ve been there too.
Finding someone who truly gets you can make all the difference. If you think I might be that therapist, you might be right. I specialize in working with neurodivergent adults navigating burnout, anxiety, and self-understanding. I’d love to offer you a free consultation so you can get a sense of my approach and ask any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you.
Reclaim Your Sensitivity
Together, we’ll work to understand your emotional patterns, set boundaries that actually stick, and develop strategies that support your nervous system. I want to help you stop feeling like you’re “too much” and start embracing the truth: your sensitivity is a strength. You’re perceptive, intuitive, deeply caring—and worthy of support that truly gets you.
Therapy That Honors Who You Are
As a neurodivergent, highly sensitive therapist, I understand what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by daily life. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and client-led. Sessions may include quiet reflection, somatic awareness, or mindful pauses—whatever helps you feel most grounded.
Whether you want to untangle childhood dynamics, navigate relationship patterns, recover from burnout, or simply understand yourself more deeply, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
My Approach
I integrate elements of DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care in my work. I’m also training in EMDR and have a strong background in working with people navigating disability, life transitions, and identity development. My clients often describe me as warm, insightful, and grounding.
